Well I can name one, the one I did not know can happen but was happening to me – Tons of stress from depression and all that comes with it can lead to high blood pressure, which if not treated will lead to heart disease and kill you, or you can have a heart attack and die before developing heart disease from the high blood pressure. That scares me. One fact I learned at my last visit to the psychiatrist.

-Adjustment Disorder with Depressed Mood: depressive reaction to a specific life event when adjusting to the loss takes longer than the normally expected timeframe or is more severe than expected and interferes with the person’s daily activities
-Bipolar Disorder (manic depressive illness): involves periods of major depression mixed with periods of mania (abnormally high mood and extreme bursts of unusual activity or energy)
Symptoms of Depression?
-Depressed mood or sadness most of the time
-Lack of energy
-Feel tired all the time
-Inability to enjoy things that used to bring pleasure
-Withdrawal from friends and family
-Irritability, anger, or anxiety
-Inability to concentrate
-Significant weight loss or gain
